Our client, a major international NGO with humanitarian projects spread around the world, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team.

Responsibilities

In this role you will take a lead on managing the finances for high importance aid projects with locations around the globe. This will include:

  • Interacting and coaching local finance teams on site helping them maintain up to date accounts and reports, at times in challenging circumstances.
  • Oversee and support the local closings ensuring correct procedure and policy are applied.
  • Consolidate the project accounts with headquarters accounts.
  • Act as the first point of contact with key stakeholders including headquarters and Audit teams.

The role holds broad and varied responsibilities and will require you to be willing to take initiatives.

Location: You will be working from the Headquarter located in Ixelles. You will have the opportunity to travel internationally to meet local teams a couple of times a year.

Profile

  • You have enough experience to feel confident in your ability to successfully support key projects providing vital aid (minimum 5 years' experience).
  • You are open minded and communicative, unafraid to interact with people from different countries and backgrounds.
  • You speak French and English fluently. Other languages may be considered a plus but are not a must.
