Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

  • Manage the general accounting of several European legal entities
  • Prepare and oversee monthly and annual closings
  • Ensure VAT declarations in Belgium and other European countries
  • Participate in the preparation of annual accounts and external audits
  • Monitor fixed assets, provisions, cash flows, and intercompany payments
  • Ensure proper tax compliance for the entities (corporate tax, documentation, regulations)
  • Supervise and support the development of a junior accountant with a coaching approach
  • Collaborate with management, auditors, headquarters, and external partners
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in accounting processes and contribute to tool modernization
  • Ensure clear documentation and effective priority management

Profile

Your profile

  • Degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within an international environment
  • Excellent command of professional English, both written and spoken (Dutch is a plus)
  • Proficient with Excel and modern accounting software; SAP is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, autonomy, and analytical ability
  • Committed, proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused personality
