They are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their European Support Center in North-West Brussels.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's strategic goals. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and year-end close).
  • Preparing inter-company accounts and tax returns (e.g., VAT, real estate tax).
  • Managing vendor files, payment processing, and maintaining bank records.
  • Participating in process audits and implementing improvements.
  • Supporting the implementation and fine-tuning of accounting systems.
  • Collaborating with the legal department on compliance with delegation of authority.

Profile

Profile

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 5-8 years of experience in General Ledger & Cost Accounting, including financial statement preparation.
  • Experience in the services or retail sector.
  • Proficiency in VAT and GAAP processes relevant to their market.
  • Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications.
  • A team-oriented mindset, with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
