For this company active in the real estate sector, we are actively looking for an internal auditor / accountant.

This "double-hatted" position is diversified. It includes the day-to-day accounting, and it also involves you regularly travelling to the company's 20+ offices across Belgium in order to audit internal procedures and their accounts.

At the company's HQ, you will join a small and dynamic team of 15 people. They often organize events, weekly dinners or drinks. Although hard-working, the team keeps a laid-back working atmosphere.

This position is located in Waterloo, and you are expected to regularly travel to Flanders.

Internal Auditor - Your responsibilities

This position is divided into two main parts:

  1. Accounting:
    1. Encoding invoices and accounting transactions into the system
    2. Create and process sales invoices
    3. Preparing banking transactions for customers and suppliers
    4. Carrying out various reporting on Excel

  1. Auditing
    1. Elaboration of the audit strategy at group level
    2. Verify the proper implementation of internal procedures (communication, transfer of important documents)
    3. Double-check the sales at local offices, calculation of commissions
    4. Review of payment of compulsory insurance


Internal Auditor- Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree accounting, economics or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience as an auditor, controller or financial analyst
  • Fully fluent in Dutch and French

This function allows you to travel all over Belgium, especially in Flanders, to visit the company's franchisees.

You will need to "put your hands in the dirt" and investigate into depth the various accounts to retrieve potential errors.
