Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Senior General Accountant, you will play a central role in the accounting team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full general accounting for the Belgian entity, including account closings and VAT declarations.
  • Actively participating in monthly and annual closings, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, particularly for the U.S. market (SEC).
  • Supervising and training junior accountants, ensuring their professional development.
  • Supporting the implementation of the new ERP (Dynamics) and optimizing accounting processes related to digital transformation.
  • Managing bank flows and preparing financial reports for management.
  • Working closely with international teams and regularly communicating in English.

Profile

Profile Sought:

For this role, we are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has at least 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to U.S. markets.
  • Has significant experience with a Big4 firm or in a U.S. environment.
  • Is fluent in English, both spoken and written, in a professional context.
  • Demonstrates proactivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take initiative without constant supervision.
  • Has a good knowledge of capex (capital expenditures) and financial aspects related to investments.
  • Is logical, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, with a strong ability to handle numbers mentally.
  • Has a dynamic personality and thrives in a constantly evolving environment.
