To support its growth, our client is looking for an Accounting Lead to oversee the accounting activities for its Benelux entities.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
As Chief Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing accounting and tax operations:
- Accounting & Tax
- Supervise the accounting of multiple entities.
- Oversee accounting closures in compliance with BE GAAP standards and manage tax matters (VAT, ISOC).
- Lead and supervise a team of three accountants.
- Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly reports for management.
- Conduct internal audits and manage the reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Process Management and Optimization
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting tools and processes.
- Manage administrative tasks and lead the team effectively.
Profile
The profile we are looking for
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally with team management experience.
- Languages: Fluency in French and English or Dutch (spoken and written).
- Tools: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Winbooks) and Excel.
- Personal qualities: Strong leadership, attention to detail, ability to handle a high workload, and capacity to work independently.
