To support its growth, our client is looking for an Accounting Lead to oversee the accounting activities for its Benelux entities.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities
As Chief Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing accounting and tax operations:

  • Accounting & Tax
    • Supervise the accounting of multiple entities.
    • Oversee accounting closures in compliance with BE GAAP standards and manage tax matters (VAT, ISOC).
    • Lead and supervise a team of three accountants.
  • Reporting
    • Prepare and analyze monthly reports for management.
    • Conduct internal audits and manage the reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Process Management and Optimization
    • Contribute to the improvement of accounting tools and processes.
    • Manage administrative tasks and lead the team effectively.

Profile

The profile we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally with team management experience.
  • Languages: Fluency in French and English or Dutch (spoken and written).
  • Tools: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Winbooks) and Excel.
  • Personal qualities: Strong leadership, attention to detail, ability to handle a high workload, and capacity to work independently.
